Corporate Responsibility · Renovator
Renovation affects more than the property itself. It affects the people carrying out the work, the client, neighbouring residents, the apartment building and the surrounding urban environment.
For Renovator, corporate responsibility is not a separate communications programme. It is part of how we plan, price and manage every apartment renovation in Athens.
People and Construction Site Safety
We prioritise proper construction site safety, suitable protective equipment and the assignment of specialist work to appropriately qualified professionals.
We do not accept unsafe shortcuts simply to accelerate the construction programme.
Our site safety standard
- 01 Task-appropriate protective equipment
- 02 Qualified specialists for specialist work
- 03 Safety before speed
Respect for Residents and the Apartment Building
Before a substantial renovation begins, we coordinate with the building manager and inform residents who may be directly affected.
Our apartment building coordination may include advance notice of noisy work, agreed use of the lift and temporary interruption of communal services where required.
We protect entrances, staircases and lifts, observe the applicable working hours and clean the route used by our teams each working day.
If work causes or reveals a problem affecting a neighbouring apartment or communal area, we document the condition, investigate its cause and assist in organising an appropriate technical response.
Protecting the Existing Building
We do not treat every old element as something that must automatically be demolished.
Where technically appropriate, we consider the restoration of existing building materials, investigate concealed services and document installations before they are covered.
We do not conceal moisture or construction defects behind new finishes without first investigating their cause.
Responsible Construction Waste Management
We aim to avoid unnecessary demolition, calculate material quantities carefully and organise controlled construction waste management.
Where practical, useful materials and building elements may be retained, reused or made available for another appropriate purpose.
